Practice Story Reflection

We just finished our practice story in G.T. We had to pick a person in our group(Tyler Hicks) to interview about his or her favorite hobby. My group and I picked him because his hobby was free running(parkour). Our group now had our interviewee and we needed a place to film the interview using a rule-of-thirds composition technique. We decided to pick a nice spot behind a tree with good lighting.

Once we found our position, we hooked up the wireless mic to the camera and the collar of Tyler's shirt. We had just started filming when Mr. Sanderl saw us and told us to change our position. We now had our perfect filming conditions, We had time to film. But, there were a few mishaps like Tyler looking at the camera. When We had finally had it perfect, we could bring our footage in to start the editing process.

Now being finished filming, we could import our files from the camera to the Final Cut Pro X, a video editing program. When we finished importing, we dragged and dropped all of our footage into the timeline to see everything we have. Of course, there were some parts where Tyler looked at the camera so we had to take that out. When we had our B-Roll, we could finally finish our video. Now all we had to do was to export our video.
